Take the hook in your left hand and the line in your right hand.

Put the line through the eye of the hook two times creating a loop behind the eye.

Wrap the tag end around the standing line five to six times.

Bring the tag end back through the small loop next to the eye.

Moisten the line

Pull the line to tighten.

Cut off excess line, leave about a centimeter left off the tag end so that the knot won't break.
